motorcycle.co.uk is expanding the content on the site. We would love you to contribute content which provides more interest for our visitors. Individual articles, series, photos, whatever... There are 2 ways to go:
We have implemented a Wiki. What's a Wiki? Its a set of pages that anybody can edit. You need to ask us for a password, but then you can do what you like. Add what you like, change what you want, make new pages, suggest pages you would like to see that someone else might provide, ... It avoids all that 'article submission', 'editorial approval', 'weeks to publication' stuff - you just go to the Wiki and add what you want. However, a warning, Wikis can be tricky to work with, they assume you are a bit technically good with markup languages. Try the sandbox first, if you want to make real pages, mail mike@motorcycle.co.uk and ask for a password.
The other way... Have a look at the training Articles near the top of this page http://www.motorcycle.co.uk/lists/training.html or the battery articles near the top of this page http://www.motorcycle.co.uk/lists/PartsModern.html Send me your stuff (text, word doc, url of a page on the web, whatever). Give me a couple days. I'll put it in a standard template. I'll add a link to the relevant page. Job Done.
Mail mike@motorcycle.co.uk to discuss either way.
Why should you ?
Fame..., your name in lights...., adulation of the masses..., that sort of thing.
If you read any decent articles on building traffic to your site they will tell you that one of the most effective ways to build your traffic and attract customers is to provide content for other sites. Your article would appear on wiki.motorycle.co.uk or www.motorcycle.co.uk with your name, a link to your site, and whatever (non-invasive, subtle) byline you want.
No money will be changing hands. I benefit with increased content on my site. You benefit by exposure to our 250,000 visitors a month.
Small Print
Copyright is your issue (we assume you have it - if not, you get sued, not us). Photos have to be clean, since we are UK-based. Editor's decision is final.
