I don't know about you but my key ring has five 'bike relevant' keys on it. The obvious one, two lock keys, my top box key and a front door key.  All of which are pretty much mandatory but very bulky and incredibly noisy if they're all in the ignition at the same time.

The noise alone was distracting but quite apart from that the keys were also damaging the finish around the headstock of the bike.

I had a look for a range of different key holder options and the Rip Curl Magnetic Key Stash was the best of an average bunch. It needed to be able to stand up to all year round weather (check), hold other keys (check), and stop the irritating rattling noise of all the keys (check). And that's where it really excels thanks to the magnets which hold it firmly on the tank regardless of speed (though I have a CBR1000F so there's a fairing which no doubt helps matters). Obviously the magnets would be less helpful on a bike with a plastic tank but for me it works perfectly.

You do have to shoehorn the other keys for the bike (keys for disc locks, front door, top box etc) into the little pouch and it's kind of fiddly getting them out again. But it does the job I bought it for brilliantly and shows no sign of six months of all weather use.

I got mine from Amazon but they're no longer in stock there and may not be getting them again. For a few more details go to:
